Part-time contract Phlebotomist and Biometric screener
Company Information:
Hooper Holmes Health & Wellness provides biometric collection services for companies so they can help employees improve their health and wellness. Most of our collections are early morning to early afternoon between 5am and 3pm Monday through Friday, with an occasional evening shift.
Position Description:
We recruit individuals looking for part-time, flexible hours who can pick up shifts on a PRN (as needed) basis. You are in control of which jobs you accept, and you will have access to a website where you can view the available jobs at any given time. You will drive to the work location for that particular day, help set up, complete specimen collection, specimen testing, biometrics on each participant, and then assist in cleaning up the room. The environment is fast-paced with one participant screened every 10 minutes. Excellent specimen collection and overall experience for our customer is a priority.
Pay Breakdown:
o Mentoring Event = $15 per hour
o Pre-Site Visits = $35 Flat Fee ($50 Flat Fee for events with more than 7 screening HPs)
o Individual Events)= $25 Flat Fee
o 2-3 Participant Event = Individual Event Fee ($25) plus $10 for each additional person
o Large Group Events (10
participants) = $18 per hour starting rate. Ability to increase to $22 per hour after 15 events if quality standards are met.
o Site Manager Rate = $25 per hour at events where you are engaged as the Site Manager, which carries additional responsibilities including reminder calls and ensuring the event's overall success.
Qualifications include:
o Ability to perform Wellness Screenings including specimen collection (venipuncture and fingerstick collection) and manual biometric data (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse)
o Must have medical training such as but not limited to Phlebotomy, MA, LVN, RN, LPN, Paramedic, etc.
o At least 100 successful venipunctures in a clinical setting
o Ability to take manual vitals including manual blood pressure readings
o Reliable transportation
o Excellent communication, organizational and technical skills
o Computer proficiency & access to high speed internet
o Must be able to respond to calls, messages, and e-mails within 24 hours
