Plans for and directs the nursing care, treatments, procedures, and other health-related services to meet resident needs and personal preferences Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and current nursing standards of practice Assists with the supervision, development, and implementation of a written healthcare plan in cooperation with other disciplines and in accordance with physician orders Supervises / reviews preventative and restorative nursing care for each resident in order to achieve and maintain the highest possible degree of function, self-care, and independence Oversees the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluation of nursing department employees to ensure adequate numbers of qualified staff members are on duty at all times Ensures that adequate quantities of in good repair nursing equipment and needed supplies are readily available to nursing staff members Oversees medical records in compliance with licensing, HIPAA ,and professional standards In conjunction with the Administrator, oversees admission and discharge reviews and decisions
Qualifications:
Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN license Minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferably in Geriatric Nursing, along with management experience in leading a healthcare team desirable Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language COVID-19 vaccination required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable Additional Information:
Regular Day Hours o Flexible Scheduling o Annual Salary range:
